Individual & Extended Sessions
Our professional service fees are derived based on the APS National Schedule of Recommended Fees and will vary depending on the complexity, nature, expertise required, urgency of the matter, location and proximity, length and number of sessions booked or required, and availability. As a general guide, the consultation fee for the first session is $390 for a 50-60 minutes with the first 20 minutes of the first consultation session being free of charge (during this period, my primary objective is to determine whether I can provide assistance and if the individual is comfortable working with me, as well as their commitment to sticking with the program; therefore, if we decide not to proceed after the initial 20 minutes, there will be no cost to the client). After the first session, the client will receive an email containing a Service Agreement that clearly outlines the proposal for subsequent follow-up sessions. We advise booking your first 3 to 5 sessions following the first appointment to jumpstart your athletic journey and ensure you secure appointments at a pace and time that fits your schedule.
While a referral is not mandatory to consult a sport psychologist, you may qualify for a Medicare rebate (the current Medicare rebate is $96.65 per session) upon assessment by your GP. Numerous private health funds also provide rebates for psychological services. It is advisable to verify the specifics of these rebates with your respective private health fund. Finally, individuals qualifying under National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) have rebates of up to $232.99 per session, and those qualifying under Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA) have rebates of up to $159.55 per session.

Multiple Package sessions
To maintain continuous support and offer cost-effective solutions, various program service plans have been established. The number of consultation sessions needed will depend on ones individual goals and the nature of their concerns. Even though some issues can be addressed in a few sessions, many others may require longer-term intervention. Mental skills, just like physical skills must be be taught, practiced systematically and consistently, assessed, tailored to individual needs, and practiced more to make them part of the athlete's arsenal. One of my ultimate goals when providing psychological skills training services, is that the athlete develops their ability to work towards their short- and long-term goals by effectively managing and self-regulating their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. Remember, athletes can not be physically trained in a day or a week; likewise, athletes can not be MENTALLY TRAINED in a day or a week. Given the limited availability of spaces for multiple session plans, during certain periods of the year we suggest booking early to secure your spot.
